A prominent citizens delegation of NOWGAM, met State Secretary Janta Dal United Sh. Vivek Bali has put fourth the problems of Nowgam, Shagus, District Anantnag faced by the public of Nowgam Shangus District Anantnag and it’s adjoining areas. The State Secretary JD(U) has demanded that the following Problems faced by the masses of this area may be taken due consideration for earliest acceding to fullfilment of these problems by
Govt. Authorities ,especially PWD/R&B, PHE and PDD departments and Tourism Department.
The burning demands putfourth by the State Secretary JD(U) are as under:-
1. Macdemization of 3.5 Km Interior Road in NOWGAM.
2. Mecdemization of GMS Nowgam Road to Andoo under PMGSY scheme.
3. Nowgam to Sumberuna Road widening and mecdemization.
4. Completion of pending road works of Thajiwara to Shangus.
5. Developmental maintenance of Interior road from Chinar 666 colony to Andoo-Pushroo road under PMGSY Scheme.
6. Above this the Public has demand declaration of Khanbal Kuthar Road under National Highway Roads passing through Achabal, Nowgam, Shangus, Brariangan, Sheikhpira, Uttersu for bringing the area under National Tourism Having the area a Natural Tourism attraction.
7. Providing of Padestrain paths in congested market areas of NOWGAM and Shangus. The State Secretay JD(U) Vivek Bali has requested the Honble Lieutenant Governor, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Works, Commissioner Secretary Works , Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Chief Engineer, Works Department Kashmir and District Development Commissioner Anantnag for acceeding to the demands at an earliest for rightful developmental infrastructure of NOWGAM Shangus Area, So that the people of the area may not face sufferings on this account.
