Srinagar, Jan 16 : The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday ordered transfer and posting of 7 JKAS officers with immediate effect.

According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Pardeep Kumar, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Information Department, is transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Reasi, against an available vacancy.

As per the order, Ishtaq Ahmad Bhat, IKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Culture Department, is transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Ganderbal, against an available vacancy.

Muzaffer Ahmad Sheikh, JKAS, BDO, Devsar, is transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Bandipore, against an available vacancy. Shabir Ahmad Hakak, JKAS, Sub-Registrar, Budgam, is transferred and posted as Project Officer, Wage Employment (ACD), Baramulla, against an available vacancy.

Muzamil Maqbool Beigh, Collector Land Acquisition Special Army (Budgam & Srinagar) will look after the routine work of Sub-Registrar, Budgam in addition to his own duties.

Sheraz Ahmad, JKAS, is transferred and posted as Project Manager, IWMP, Rajouri, Commissioner Panchayat, Rajouri, against an available vacancy. He shall also hold the additional charge of the post of Project Manager, IWMP, Rajouri, till further orders.

Manzoor Ahmad Mir, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, is transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Shopian, against an available vacancy.

Sunil Kumar, JKAS, Project Manager, IWMP, Samba, is transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Samba, against an available vacancy. He shall also hold the additional charge of the post of Project Manager, IWMP, Samba, till further orders—(KNO)

Addressing a rally in Rajouri on Veterans Day, he said that they eliminate terrorism and foil such attempts by neighbouring countries. “Rajouri is the land of heroes and has never allowed the conspiracies and nefarious plans of the neighbouring nation to succeed,” he added.

“Security agencies have effectively controlled violence and a befitting reply is being given to those who are trying to fulfil their political goals with the help of this proxy war,” he said.

“In this resolution of ours, the Village Defence Committees are being further strengthened and trained with the participation of ex-servicemen,” Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi said.

“J&K government has accepted the long pending demand of increasing the Ex Gratia amount of our Fallen Heroes in J&K and this amount has been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. Monthly financial assistance to World War II and Ex J&K Militia, Veterans, and their Veer Naris has been increased from Rs 4,000 and Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 respectively,” he said while adding that out of 73 cases of last year’s Ex-Gratia relief, a total of 60 claims have been passed so far, with a total amount of Rs 1,52,95,000.

“The remaining amount of Rs 36,70,000 will also be paid soon to the soldiers and their families,” he added.

He said that the recent J&K Government has appointed Nodal Police Officers of DSP rank to redress the grievances of ex-servicemen in all the 20 districts of J&K

JAMMU JANUARY : Saying that the BJP is the only hope for people to steer Jammu and Kashmir to peace, political stability and progress, the Secretary Organization of its Union Territory Unit Mr Ashok Koul today exuded confidence to achieve the objective of heralding a new era of inclusive development with equal opportunities to all, irrespective of region, religion or caste.

According to a statement issued to KNS, reads that “A massive thrust is already on to ensure overall growth by way of massive investments and implementation of various schemes and programmes, designed as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Naya Jammu and Kashmir”, Mr Koul said while welcoming Youth National Conference President of Ramban District and Member District Development Council from Batote Mr Jagbir Dass into the BJP at the party headquarters here this evening.

Mr Koul said that joining of public spirited people will further strengthen the world’s largest political party—the BJP—to serve the masses with renewed vigour and confidence. A collective effort alone can put Jammu and Kashmir on the faster track of development, he said, adding that the day is not far when this part of the country will join the nation’s enviable growth story.

Welcoming the new entrant into the party fold, senior leader Mr Devender Singh Rana described the BJP as a force to reckon with, saying the past about nine years in particular have shown how a new dimension could be given to nation building with visionary policies and a sense of devotion and dedication. India’s image has grown manifold across the globe under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi, he added.

Baramulla, January 14: To review the functioning of Revenue Department and progress made in adopting of online services, anti encroachment drives and other revenue related matters, a meeting of all Revenue Officers of the District was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar at DC Office here.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Sub Divisional Megistrates of Pattan and Uri, all Tehsildars besides officials of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.

At the outset, the DC took a detailed review of all vital matters including removal of encroachments on Kahcharai and State Land, status of Grievances redressal mechanism, status of pending Court cases through RCCMS, implementation of e-Office, etc.

On the occasion, the DC directed all the Tehsildars to launch anti-encroachment drives on a massive scale in all the Tehsils of the district to retrieve encroached State and Kahcharie land.

She also asked them to activate their field staff to keep proper check and vigil on any kind of encroachments in respective jurisdiction.

The DC directed them to work with added zeal and missionary approach to safeguard State/Kahcharie land from land grabbers, besides ensuring hassle free public delivery system in the district.

With regard to online services, the DC directed all the concerned officers to adopt online services in their respective Offices so that it becomes easy for the people to get every information in a digital form.

Earlier, in a seperate meeting, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review regarding progress of Change of Land Use in the district during which

she enquired about the status of NOCs being issued in favour of applicants and applications received till date besides their reporting and follow up status by the concerned departments.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an accident took place at Singhpora area of Baramulla, leading to on spot death of a pedestrian.

The deceased was identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, a resident of Singhpora.

However, the official said that after hitting the pedestrian, the vehicle also plunged into a gorge in the area.

The body of deceased will be handed over to the family after completion of legal medical formalities, the official said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard—(KNO)

JK Revolution, 13, Jan:- The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir hails MD and CEO JK Bank , Mr. Baldev Prakash for reducing commitment charges after appeal made by various trade bodies, hoteliers and industrialists bringing respite to the traders. The authorities of Jammu and Kashmir Bank have decided to reduce the commitment charges substantially.

CCIK highly appreciated the decision made by J&K Bank authorities as the economy of Kashmir is still fragile and the borrowers are not in a position to pay commitment charges. The CCIK said that it is a good sign and relief for business community. CCIK said that J&K business community have high hopes with JK Bank and requested bank authorities to implement new schemes and policies related to young entrepreneurs. CCIK members expressed gratitude towards Mr. Baldev Prakash CMD J&K Bank for revaluating and amending the decision of imposing Commitment charges to account holders of J&K Bank as business community always feels safe in the hands of J&K Bank.

Srinagar, Jan 13: A train on the Baramulla-Banihal section derailed from the railway track in Mazhama aarea of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday, however, no casualties were reported in the incident.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the derailment took place at Mazhama after the train left the railway station today morning.

He said all the passengers were safe, while railway officials have reached the spot.
