Budgam,December 17:- A felicitation ceremony was held at DC Office Budgam ,the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid IAS ,today felicitated International Wheelchair Basketball Player Insha Bashir , for her overall achievements and for winning Silver Medal at international level recently in November 2022.
It is worth here to mention that Insha Bashir Budgam’s first international wheelchair basketball player, has been selected as captain of JKs wheelchair basket ball team.
While interacting with Insha Bashir , the DC congratulated her for winning Silver Medal at international level and termed it as a pride for Jammu & Kashmir In general and district Budgam in particular.
Insha Bashir also shared her experience of success .She said she wants to win Gold medal in Para Olympics for the Country.Adding to her achievements she said She is extremely happy after winning silver medal and receiving National award for her achievement is her grand success.
Insha Bashir said that she had been working hard since she met this accident and it is a proud moment for her to be felicitated by her Home District administration.She also thanked the district administration for every support.
In the felicitation ceremony District Social Welfare Officer Dr.Farhana Asgar, District Programme Officer ICDS Budgam, District Information Officer Budgam , other officers and officials of District were present.
