Full dress rehearsal for the forthcoming republic day celebration was held at DPL Kupwara in which ADC Kupwara Gh Ahmad Bhat accompanied by ASP Kupwara *Pradeep Singh unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took the salute at the march-past.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Kupwara highlighted the importance of the Republic Day celebrations and deliberated on various development initiatives undertaken in the district for the progress and prosperity of public. He also threw light on the importance of Constitution of India which was adopted on 26th January 1950. ADC also elaborated about the efforts put in by district administration with regard to containment of Covid-19.
On the occasion, various contingents of CRPF, District Police , IRP, & Home Guards, participated in the march past parade.
Dy. SP PC Lolab Ajaz Ahmad Naikoo led the march past as parade commander on the occasion.
Braving cold and harsh climatic conditions, students from various schools and numerous cultural groups presented and performed scintillating cultural programmes on the occasion.
Among others, DySP Headquarters Kupwara DySP PC Kupwara, DySP DAR DPL and other Civil and Police officers were also present on the occasion.
