Srinagar : The weeklong celebration of Teacher’s Day, an impressive valediction function which was organized by GDC, Pattan culminated on Saturday. During the event the panel discussion of the participating students was organized on the by the Department of English and the Department of Library of the college.

The theme of the panel discussion was “Has the role of teacher upgraded or degraded in present society?” The panel discussion was moderated by Dr Nowsheeba (Chief Librarian) and Dr. Irfan.

The participating students included were Subeena Javaid (Sem III), Furqan Javaid (Sem III), Haseeba Mushtaq (Sem III), Syed Qurat ul Absar (Sem III), Feroza Bano (Sem I), Asmat Asad (Sem I) and Khushboo Jan (Sem I).

Prof. Tariq Ashaia, Principal of the college acclaimed the student for their impressive performances. He also impressed upon the teachers to help the students to reach to their respective goals. He wished them well for all their future endeavors. Principal Tariq Ahmad Aashia felicitated the teachers with the certificates of appreciation.

 

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mohd Amin Malik (Convener, Debate Committee) Prof Nayeem Ahmad Shah acted as rapporteur and Dr Asiya Nazir Khan conducted the proceedings of the events. Mr. Shahid and Mr. Sajad Naqash covered all the events digitally.

Budgam : J K Emergency Medical Services

Zonal Manager on Friday presented 5th Edition of JKEMS 108 Magazine to CMO Budgam.

In a function Zonal Manager JK Emergency Medical Services Mr Mushtaq Ahmad presented 5th edition of it’s magazine to Dr Tajamul Hussain Khan, CMO Budgam.

They highlighted their achievements and work done visa vis emergency 108 ambulance services, before CMO.

CMO Budgam Dr Tajamul Hussian while appreciating their efforts acknowledged that 108 services has changed the scenario of emergency services especially in far flung areas and in particular economically weaker sections.

He presented appreciated letter to the Zonal Manager. Zonal Manager admitted that Budgam district under the guidance of CMO Budgam has done tremendous job in providing the health care services at door steps of common people.

It’s important to mention that JKEMS scheme was launched in March 2020 and has fleet of 203 ambulances (108 in Jammu division and 95 in Kashmir divison .

As per official data about every 7.38 minutes at least one emergency case is being served by J&K EMS team integrated with 24*7 emergency response centre.

 

Total 1,39,336 emergencies were responded/Handled from 24th March to 15th July 2022 by 108 Ambulances sofar .

 

Atleast 408 deliveries were assisted by Emergency medical technicians inside ambulance and at scene.The official data revealed.

The officials also appeal general masses of state in case of any medical emergency please call on 108 to avail the services 24*7 , which is free of cost.

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 30: CMO Ganderbal Dr Afroza Shah today chaired Nasha Mukht Bharat meeting wherein she took stock of various indices pertained to the aims and objectives of the programme.

 

Various issues were discussed threadbare wherein focus was given on increase prevalence of drug addiction among youth in the district ganderbal along with detailed review of past three month work done.

 

Staff of various units pertained to Nasha Mukht Bharat objectives were present in the meeting.

 

CMO Ganderbal stressed all the officers/officials to further improve upon rigorous counselling awareness session along with effective follow ups for the better targetted patient care.

 

A seminar calendar was decided wherein dedicated day per week was finalised and mega awareness programmes shall be held in school, colleges and other stakeholders.

 

She also directed all the staff to ensure that all the guidelines of the programme are followed in letter & spirit.

Jammu: Vivek Bali State General Secretary JDU was on his regular tour of Jindhar Panchayat. He listened to citizen’s complaint there and gave some solutions on the spot. Because of ongoing monsoon, waterlogging is happening at different places in ward no 4,5,6. No drainage system has been installed till date. Moreover, there is a major issue of commute as there is no concrete road. They have to walk through the farm and fields.

 

Another issue they are facing is that in the cemetery, there should be a shade where people can change their clothes. Citizens of the panchayats are lacking the basic needs and Vivek Bali has given them the assurance that he will try to raise their voices to the administrations. Citizens felt happy that the someone from the party has come there and listened to their complaints.

 

Vivek Bali was accompanied by Raj Kumar vice president R s pura and Tahir Majeed youth Vice president jammu. He has urged Hon’ble LG to intervene and try to resolve as soon as possible.

JDU State General Secretary Vivek Bali said Prominent Political and social activists belonging to Sopore along with their supporters joined the JDU in the presence of UT president G.M.Shaheen at the party headquarters here, he said.

Besides G.M.Shaheen, Vivek Bali & State Organiser Khurshid Naqati were present on the occasion, the bali said.
Shaheen, while welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, said they have always remained “hardcore patriots and never betrayed the nationalist sentiments”.

Shaheen said the entry of the prominent people like Mr Lateef Ahmed Sarpanch Dangerpora (A),Bashir Ahmed , Ishfaq lone , Mudassir Dar, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Farooq Dar , Mohammad Ayub Dar, Mohammad Asin mir, Haji Mohammad mir, Abdul Majeed Dar, Mohammad suban najar, Gulam Nabi najar ( Panch ward 6 ) & Habibullah Dar joining will strengthen the party in the region.

JD(U) leaders demanded to declare birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh as state holiday

This is the first step towards restoring the image of the great visionary and people’s maharaja,”. He added saying that “Maharaja’s Birthday was denied whose colossal contributions made millions of nationalist people of the State to call themselves as proud Indians.”

 

Vivek Bali State General Secretary said that “The nationalist people of the State and the country were eagerly waiting for the announcement of the Govt.’s decision on holiday, Mr. Bali urged upon the Governor to immediately come up with the announcement of 23 Sept as Gazetted holiday in the State. He further maintained that the declaration of Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday as State holiday would be a befitting tribute to the legendary ruler who was the symbol of pristine Dogra culture and heritage.” He added that “Maharaja Hari Singh was the icon of secularism and modern democracy who introduced several social reforms in the fields of Judiciary, Education, Revenue, Finance etc. His contribution towards women empowerment, alleviation of racial discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and colour was impeccable and visionary.”

 

Other JD(U) leaders also urged Hon’ble LG and Government of India to state holiday to commemorate Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday, a strong contingent of JD(U) leaders spearheaded by Mr. G M Shaheen JD(U) and Vivek Bali State General Secretary other leaders staged. They spoke about the great role of the Dogra ruler in making, shaping and expanding the state and that of Maharaja to accede the state to India. They further added that Maharaja Hari Singh provided justice to all irrespective of any caste or religion and declaration of his birthday as state holiday would be a befitting tribute to the legendary ruler.

On the occasion, Gulam mahideen Sheikh said that he was impressed by the “socio-economic and political ideology” of the JDU. “Besides the developmental agenda, I have witnessed that the JDU leadership values and respects the sentiments of the common people. The brief spell of governance with the development and political accommodation being its hallmark, JDU did a commendable job in its brief stint of last few years,”.

 

He added that JDU’s progressive agenda and developmental approach motivated him to join the party. “I am confident that more prominent and respectable people of the state including women and the youth would come forward and join the JDU in the coming days to contribute towards the peace, prosperity and development of the state,”

srinagar: In a statement issued here, GM Shaheen expressed his shock and grief over the attack. He said, “I condemn the killing by gunmen today,” Shaheen said, adding, government must strengthen the security grid to nab the culprits behind the attack and punish the culprits. He said that the gruesome Incident should be seen as an act of Pakistan sponsored terrorism, He stressed that using the incident for Political motives is a shameless act and everybody must desist from doing this.”

 

Vivek Bali State General Secretary JDU has strongly condemned the attack on the police naka party in Lal Bazaar area of Srinagar this evening, in which an Assistant Police Sub Inspector Mushtaq Ahmad got killed and two injured cops. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are progressing on the path of development and such cowardice actions by terrorists cannot derail the ongoing peace process

 

Other JDU leaders extended their deepest condolences to the family of Mushtaq Ahmad, and stand in solidarity with them in this hour of extreme pain and agony. They also prayed for their speedy recovery.

There is no drinking water in the kuther Nowgam and not even a handpump. So people are struggling for a bucket of water also. The Kuther Nag has no fencing and not a single garden in the shrine.

People are demanding a swimming pool in the same area so that it will attract tourist and will be the source of revenue. There are multiple lamps available but not a single lamp is working.
The main road to Kuther nag road is macadamised and it takes time to commute, so there is a need to take the concrete steps and work on this priority.

The situation in the panchayat is very pitty and people are suffering because lack of fund. Citizens are asking for Kisan Credit Card so that it will help them to one time settlement. All these demands are already prolonged and early action in this matter is solicited.

The sarpanch and panches were available during the briefing. After taking into consideration all these demands Vivek Bali asked HLG to intervene and appealed him for early action.
